I have started a Google site were this and file links will go from now on, it is here Warren doesn't know how to use Google+

So the main page is a story, the next page is links to buy stuff what's this then? This is my personal ramblings concerning the stuff I post. The reason I have started doing this is that I unexpectedly have a lot of free time quite possibly until the end of October but I hope not that long. I have goofed off for a month and decided to to have something to do. I have been consolidating files from 4 different computers on to my new laptop (purchased right before my job ended) and am amazed or appalled at the amount of RPG stuff I have accumulated over the years. Amazed at the sheer volume and appalled by how little I have ever actually used.

I also discovered stuff I printed out but didn't use as well. Most significantly are most of the various decks in the Universal Adventures line from New Realms Publishing designed to allow solo or GMless play of any RPG. It seemed like a good idea when I didn't have time and even better now. I could use the vast tracks of cardstock miniatures and terrain our group's style of play has no use for finally and besides I actually enjoy making the cardstock models. I only needed to decide on the RPG system I would use to run the game and this caused me some difficulty. I have enormous quantities of RPGs many totally unplayed (screw you Google that is so a word) that I needed to choose from.

Some were easier than others OGL and Pathfinder were out because I would be adapting various monsters, magic items and spells from the cards and these system would make that extremely time consuming. My biggest complaint with OGL and it's offspring is they become work to play fairly quickly. OSR retro clones were a possibility I eventually discarded because the characters were static other than hit points you couldn't really change the character after creation. A bunch of others would require me to read rule books hundreds of pages long so they where out. The 2 most serious contenders that I eventually decided against were Barebones Fantasy by DWD Studio which seems playable in all regards though I haven't tried it and Mythweaver I system I have been involved with through several versions as a play-tester. Mythweaver is pretty close to an ideal system for me after I take pieces from various version and cobble together the one I want to play. So why in the end did I decide on QADD/QAEE? Tone and simplicity if you have read the blog you know I am not to serious about this and Mr Fleming doesn't take the genre too seriously either. All I need to do for monsters is give them a battle score and a number of hit dice. I almost completely replaced QAEE with the spell cards and doubt it is to much of a problem though we will see. In future episodes our heroes could convert to other systems

  4. You should be able to access a Google drive folder from the "Where to get" page that has the characters as NBOS character sheets
